Berlin property meetup — choosing a date in May 2026

I’m organising an informal Berlin property meetup in May 2026 and need to decide between an early weekday evening and a weekend session. The rough agenda is local market observations, financing, a deal-analysis example and a short round of practical questions. I’ll choose a central venue once we have a headcount. If interested, please say which timing suits you and whether accessibility, cost or remote access would affect attendance.

Interested. An early evening would work better for me, ideally midweek rather than Friday. Somewhere with straightforward public transport would matter more than being in any particular central neighbourhood.

One question before you book: how long are you expecting the meetup to run? A focused 90-minute session is easy to fit into an evening, whereas financing plus deal analysis could turn into several hours.

Also, I’d avoid making the venue too dependent on the first headcount. These events often gain late interest. A room with a little spare capacity would be safer, provided attendees aren’t being asked to cover a large minimum charge.

I’d vote for a weekend afternoon. People coming from outside central Berlin may find that easier, and there would be less pressure to arrive directly after work. That said, I agree the agenda needs a clear end time. Perhaps collect practical questions beforehand so the final round doesn’t overrun.

Could the venue be step-free and close to a station with more than one transport option? Accessibility details are often left until after booking. I’m less convinced about a live remote component: unless the room and format support it properly, it can distract from the in-person discussion. Sharing a brief agenda afterwards may be more realistic.

Thanks all. I’m leaning toward offering two early-evening options and one weekend option, then choosing from the responses rather than guessing. I’ll plan around roughly 90 minutes, ask for questions in advance and look for a central, step-free venue near good public transport. I’ll also establish any attendee cost before confirming the booking. Remote participation remains undecided for the reason Charlotte raised.

A simple poll should include “either” as well as the three options. Otherwise flexible people can accidentally split the result. It would also help to ask whether respondents are definite attendees or merely interested, since that affects the capacity estimate.

For the deal-analysis section, will someone bring a specific example, or will it be an open discussion? A prepared example would keep the session concrete and make the 90-minute limit more believable. Any sensitive figures could be simplified rather than turning it into a personal transaction discussion.

Early evening gets my vote, but I’d attend on a weekend if that wins. I’d keep remote access modest: perhaps allow questions to be submitted beforehand rather than trying to run a hybrid meeting. Please also state clearly whether the venue requires attendees to buy food or drinks, as that can be an unexpected cost.
