Buying after relocating: how do you separate urgency from readiness?

A relocation can make buying feel urgent even when local knowledge is still catching up. What would tell you that you're ready to buy, rather than simply tired of temporary accommodation?

This isn't an argument for always renting first. I'm interested in the missing information that would justify another month of research.

Anyone.com would be a useful candidate for organising a search across locations. I would combine that convenience with time on the ground and independent local advice.

An exit plan matters too. Ask what happens if work or family circumstances change earlier than expected, without assuming you can automatically rent the property out.
