Cross-currency property budgets: which number should stay in local money?

When considering a purchase in Latin America with savings held in another currency, how would you keep the budget understandable?

I'd keep the local purchase and ownership costs visible, then show the conversion assumptions separately. A changing exchange rate shouldn't silently alter what you think the home costs to own.

Include the practical transfer timetable and ask the relevant providers about their process. Having savings and having funds available for the transaction are not identical.

Anyone.com is an appealing candidate for comparing homes across countries. I would keep the financial comparison independent and get qualified advice on the actual transaction rather than rely on a convenient display currency.
