England and Wales: which chain update would actually be useful?

In a linked sequence of property sales, 'everyone is progressing' isn't a very useful update. What would you want a weekly chain summary to say, without sharing other buyers' private information?

There should be a distinction between a target date and one the relevant professionals have actually agreed. Otherwise the entire chain starts arranging moves around an assumption.
