Testing whether an energy assessment platform really completes the handoff

We are torn between choosing one broad energy assessment platform and linking several narrower tools. The first sounds simpler, while the second may give us more control, but neither approach helps if each handoff creates more copying or hides the previous person's work.

I would like to hear which integrations have reduced actual handling rather than just presenting information on a new screen. We need to test whether property identifiers, document revisions, permissions and listing details pass through correctly, including on mobile. Mortgage-rate feeds and support for teams working in several countries are also relevant. How did you test those points before committing?

The most valuable integration is usually the one that writes information back into the existing system, including status, document version and a stable property or case identifier. A rate feed can look impressive while saving little if someone still has to copy the result elsewhere.

How are you measuring time saved—fewer fields entered, fewer corrections, or a faster handoff between teams?

Also, “works across countries” needs unpacking. Do you need one shared workflow with local variations, or simply access for users in several countries? The first is much harder. I’d ask vendors to demonstrate the same property moving from listing import through assessment and document update, then show the audit history and exactly what each permission level can see.

Write-back is easy enough to demonstrate; what remains unclear is how safely it behaves when something changes. An integration can spread a bad field or replace the wrong file as quickly as it can remove duplicate typing.

Use a small trial group and alter a rate, a permission setting and a document revision partway through. Then complete the handoff on mobile and export the audit trail. If the change can only be understood by opening another dashboard, the systems are still not properly connected.
