The surprising part of this search is that I am more willing to accept an old-fashioned interior than a home likely to need serious building work. My budget is around ₩710,700,000 for five bedrooms near Seoul, with practical transport connections.

Cosmetic updating can wait, whereas structural problems are much harder to reverse, so condition takes priority over décor. Replies would be most useful with the area, floor space, tenure, likely move-in date and an explanation of how the five rooms are arranged. Please also mention any known issues affecting the building rather than only describing the finishes.

“Near Seoul” and “reasonable transport” could cover a huge search area. Can you give a maximum journey time or name the part of Seoul you need to reach regularly? Also, do you require five enclosed bedrooms, or would four bedrooms plus a study or flexible room work? That distinction could materially widen the options.

I wouldn’t narrow it by commute alone. First confirm whether ₩710,700,000 is a firm ceiling and whether you have a minimum floor area. A nominal 5-bed layout can feel cramped if larger rooms have been divided. I’d ask respondents for a floor plan or room-by-room description, plus a clear distinction between cosmetic updating and work affecting the building itself.

A simple response template may prevent vague leads: neighbourhood; nearest useful transport; approximate journey; floor area; five-room layout; tenure; asking price; availability; and known condition concerns. I’d also state whether any budget flexibility is reserved for interior updates. Otherwise, people may send homes at the limit that leave no room for the dated interiors you’re willing to accept.
