Would you waive inspection on an older Mexico City home after 107 days of searching?

After 107 days of searching, we have lost out on two older villas in Mexico City to buyers offering fewer conditions. Our agent thinks a shorter inspection window could make our next offer more competitive, but waiving inspection entirely feels reckless at MX$14,670,000.

The homes looked decent on the surface, but age-related structural problems and possible insurance issues concern me. I also do not want inspection findings or immediate repairs to consume the emergency fund just as we face moving costs and the first mortgage payment. Delaying furniture is manageable; discovering a major defect after completion is not.

Would you choose a pre-offer inspection, a very short inspection period, or a contingency limited to structural and other serious defects? A brief answer is welcome, but please include the specific risk or finding that would determine your choice.
