I would rather compromise on décor than accept either a difficult commute or three bedrooms that do not function as separate rooms. I am looking to buy in Vienna or within a practical public-transport journey of it, with a maximum price of €289,800.

The property can need cosmetic updating, provided there is no substantial structural work demanding attention straight away. Please send the area, floor space, form of tenure, availability and details of how the three bedrooms are arranged. A floor plan would be especially useful, along with any available information about the building’s maintenance. I can then decide whether the location and condition justify viewing it.
 
You may get better matches if you define “near Vienna” by maximum journey time rather than distance. Is the priority reaching central Vienna, or a particular district or transport connection? That could make a large difference to which neighbourhoods people suggest.
 
Also, is €289,800 the absolute purchase-price ceiling, or do you have some flexibility for a property that needs only cosmetic work? Clarifying whether three bedrooms must all be separate full-time rooms would prevent people sending two-bedroom homes with a living room described as the third.
 
I would be careful about treating “dated interior” and “structurally fine” as the only two categories. An older-looking home may still have less visible work approaching, so ask about the roof, damp, cracks, heating and any planned building works rather than relying on presentation alone. Availability matters too: specify whether you need vacant possession by a certain month or can wait.
